Maybe you’ve learned how to meditate or breathing exercises. You’ve probably been to therapy, or coaching, and found it helpful. But, you’ve likely also hit the Personal Growth Wall.
The Personal Growth Wall is an invisible wall, like in an old video game – it looks like you should be able to keep going, but you get stuck and can’t move forward. This means that things change on the surface, but it feels like things keep magnetizing back to old patterns. It's like you’ve bought the most amazing running shoes, have the best running coach, you’ve practiced for hours, and you get ready for the race… but you’re attached to a semi-truck. It doesn’t matter how fast you run, you’re not going to get where you want to go. The semi-truck in your subconscious brain, your limbic system, and until that changes, you’re stuck.
That’s where bilateral stimulation comes in. This simple process of stimulating both sides of your body, left to right, right to left, allows the subconscious brain to activate and change in a whole new way. It’s the same thing that happens every night when you sleep. That’s where Recess comes in.
